Our discussion about the smart white board in the AIC Education Center reminded me of this video. You can download the software he refers to here.

Cyberpedagogy Lab provides students who have basic skills in digital media production, as well as a working knowledge of art education theory and practice, with an opportunity to develop projects. Based on the integration of critical pedagogy, media studies, and visual culture, students will create lesson plans, collaborative projects, and new text(book)s that address the new possibilities and problematics of art education within global information technology systems.
Ah ha!
ReplyDeleteThat's just frick'n cool! I really like the whiteboard idea. Would be tricky to figure out the headset 3D effect for a teaching environment. But applied to learning games would be interesting (perhaps 3D version of Oregon Trail?!).
ReplyDeleteI love this video, and i think it's partly in the presentation. the tech is cool, no doubt. but his delivery is so 'everyman geeky' that it's totally accessible. I left this video thinking, "Yes! I'll make a smart board too!" Now if I could only figure out what I'd really do with one. :)
